Cheap Amazon Prime Video in 2026: Your Account or a Pre-made One
Amazon charges $14.99 a month for Prime in the US. Here is how the two 12-month Prime Video options compare, what each needs from you, and which one fits.
Most people get Prime Video as part of Amazon Prime, which in the US costs $14.99 a month or $139 a year as of October 2026. Amazon also sells a Prime Video membership on its own for $8.99 a month. Either way, a year of streaming costs more than many people expect for a service they think of as a free extra.
SpandyUpgrades sells cheap Amazon Prime Video in two forms, both for 12 months: an upgrade on your own Amazon account at €35, or a ready-made account at €30. Prices start from €30. The two options differ in whose account you end up watching on, and that matters more than the small price gap between them.
What Prime Video includes
Amazon describes Prime Video as thousands of movies, series and live sports, with Prime Originals alongside licensed films and shows. According to Amazon's own pages, as of October 2026:
- Prime Originals and a large licensed catalogue of films and series
- Live sports on selected events
- X-Ray, which shows cast, trivia and music for the scene you are watching
- Add-on channels such as MGM+, HBO Max and Apple TV, each billed separately
- Rentals and purchases of new releases, also paid separately
One detail catches people out: in the US, Prime Video shows and films include limited ads. Amazon sells an ad-free option, which it calls Prime Video Ultra, for $4.99 a month on top. Our product pages don't say that ad-free viewing is included, so plan on the standard experience with Amazon's limited ads.
What Amazon charges directly
Amazon's published US prices as of October 2026:
| Option | Per month | Per year | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon Prime | $14.99 | $139 | Prime Video plus shipping and other Prime benefits |
| Prime Video membership | $8.99 | Not listed | Prime Video only |
| Prime Video Ultra (ad-free add-on) | $4.99 extra | Not listed | Removes ads |
A US viewer who wants Prime Video without ads on the standalone plan is paying $13.98 a month, or about $168 a year. Paying for Prime month by month is worse still: twelve payments of $14.99 come to $179.88, which is why Amazon pushes the $139 annual plan.
The standalone membership has no annual price on Amazon's help page, so a year of it is twelve monthly charges of $8.99, or $107.88. That is the closest like-for-like comparison with what we sell, since both of our options are Prime Video rather than full Prime. Amazon prices Prime and Prime Video differently in each country, and the brand description on our side says the discount comes from regional pricing.
The two SpandyUpgrades options
| Option | Price | Length | Your own Amazon account? | Warranty |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| On your account | €35 | 12 months | Yes | Full warranty |
| Pre-made account | €30 | 12 months | No, we provide one | Full warranty |
On your account
We apply 12 months of Prime Video to the Amazon account you already use. You provide that account's email and password, and your watchlist, viewing history and profiles stay exactly where they are. It costs €35 against our listed retail reference of €139, a saving of 75%. Read the on-your-account guide.
Pre-made account
We hand you a fully set-up account that already has Prime Video. You don't share any login with us, and the only thing the order form asks for is a Discord or Telegram username so we can send it to you. At €30 it is the cheapest way in, a 78% saving on the same retail reference. The trade-off is that it's a separate account: your existing watchlist and history don't come with it. Read the pre-made account guide.
Which one should you pick?
- You already use Prime Video and care about your watchlist: on your account. Nothing moves, and you keep signing in the way you do now.
- You don't want to hand over your Amazon password: the pre-made account. Your own Amazon account isn't touched at all.
- You are new to Prime Video: the pre-made account. There's no history to lose, and it is the cheaper of the two.
- Your Amazon account is where you shop: think about this one. Sharing the password of an account with saved cards and addresses is a bigger step than sharing a streaming login, and the pre-made option avoids it.
Both options are for Prime Video. Neither product page describes them as a full Amazon Prime membership, so don't count on free shipping or the other Prime shopping benefits.
How ordering works
- Choose an option on the Amazon Prime Video page and pay by card or crypto at checkout. PayPal and direct wallet payments go through a Discord ticket.
- For on your account, enter your Amazon Prime Video email and password plus a Discord or Telegram username. For pre-made, only the username is needed.
- Most orders are delivered within 0–24 hours. Your order page shows progress.
- Either sign in to your upgraded account, or sign in with the pre-made login you received.
Both options carry the store's full warranty. If Prime Video stops working during the 12 months for a reason you didn't cause, open a Discord ticket with your payment ID and it is replaced or fixed for free. The warranty doesn't cover a ban for breaking Amazon's terms, changing the account region after the upgrade, or sharing the login details. All sales are final, and refunds are only given when an order can't be delivered. First-time buyers get 10% off.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as Amazon Prime?
Not necessarily. Both options are sold as Prime Video for 12 months. The product pages don't promise Prime shipping or other shopping benefits, so treat this as a streaming subscription.
Will I see ads?
Amazon shows limited ads on Prime Video in the US unless you pay for its ad-free add-on. Our product pages don't list ad-free viewing, so expect the standard experience.
Which option is cheaper?
The pre-made account, at €30 against €35 for the upgrade on your own account.
Will I keep my watchlist?
Only with the on-your-account option, because it upgrades the account you already use. A pre-made account starts empty.
Do I need to give you my Amazon password?
For the on-your-account option, yes, the order form asks for the email and password. For the pre-made account, no. You only give a Discord or Telegram username.
How do I claim the warranty?
Open a ticket on Discord and include your payment ID. If Prime Video stopped working for a reason you didn't cause, the account is fixed or replaced at no cost for the rest of the 12 months.
What happens after 12 months?
Prime Video access ends. You can buy another year, or subscribe directly with Amazon.
