Cheap Chess.com Diamond in 2026: 12 Months for Less

What Chess.com Diamond includes, what Chess.com charges for it, and how a 12-month regional-pricing upgrade on your own account works, including what it asks of you.

Chess.com Diamond is the top membership tier on the biggest chess site, and it's the one that gives you unlimited game review with coach explanations on every move. Chess.com sets its price by country. In Australia, as of October 2026, Diamond costs AU$159.98 a year including GST, or AU$22.99 if you pay monthly.

SpandyUpgrades sells 12 months of Diamond on your existing account for €21, using Chess.com's regional pricing. Your rating, game history and friends stay where they are. This guide explains what Diamond adds, what Chess.com charges, and what the upgrade needs from you.

What a cheap Chess.com Diamond membership includes

Chess.com has three paid tiers, and each one includes everything in the tier below. According to Chess.com's support page on membership levels:

Gold removes ads and gives you unlimited lessons, unlimited puzzles, unlimited Puzzle Rush and Puzzle Battle, full access to the opening explorer, all 100+ computer personalities, and unlimited games against the Coach.

Platinum adds unlimited game review and analysis, the ability to manage up to 100 Daily tournaments, and extra custom flair icons.

Diamond adds coach explanations on all of your moves in Game Review, the Insights feature with stats and data across all your games, custom analysis settings, and access to Advanced Stats and Brilliant Moves.

If the main thing you want is to review every game you play, Platinum already does that. Diamond is for players who want the review explained move by move and want to look at patterns across hundreds of games with Insights.

What Chess.com charges directly

Chess.com shows prices in the visitor's local currency, and they vary by country. These are the Australian prices on chess.com/membership as of October 2026, including GST:

TierYearlyMonthly
GoldAU$64.99not checked
PlatinumAU$104.98not checked
DiamondAU$159.98AU$22.99

At the monthly Diamond rate, twelve months cost AU$275.88, so the yearly plan already saves a lot if you pay Chess.com directly. Prices in other countries are different, some higher and some much lower. That spread is where the regional-pricing discount comes from.

We didn't verify US or European prices this session, so they aren't quoted here. Check chess.com/membership from your own country to see what you'd pay.

Diamond for 12 months on your account

Diamond is applied to the Chess.com account you already use, at a regional price. Nothing about your profile changes apart from the membership: your rating, game archive, puzzles history, clubs and friends all stay as they are.

To apply it, we need the account's login email and password, plus a Discord or Telegram username so we can reach you. Change your password after Diamond is active. It doesn't affect the membership.

Who it suits

  • You already pay Chess.com and live somewhere with high prices. Let your current membership run out, then switch. The saving over a full year is the whole point.
  • You play a lot of rated games and want every one reviewed. Diamond's coach explanations are the feature you're paying for.
  • You're on the free tier and thinking about Gold. If you only want puzzles and lessons, Gold might be enough. If you want game review, compare our Diamond price against Chess.com's Platinum price in your country before deciding.

It's a poor fit if you're not comfortable sharing your Chess.com password, even briefly.

Getting your money's worth from Diamond

Diamond only pays off if you use the parts that the cheaper tiers don't have. A few habits make the difference:

  • Review every rated game, win or lose. Most people only review losses. Coach explanations on a win often show the moment you nearly threw it, which is the more useful lesson.
  • Read the explanation before looking at the engine line. The engine tells you the best move. The explanation tells you why yours was worse, and that's the part you remember next game.
  • Check Insights once a month, not once a day. Insights is built from all your games, so it's most useful after you've played enough for patterns to show: an opening you keep losing with, a time control you do badly in, or a habit of slipping in long games.
  • Use the lessons and puzzles you're already paying for. Diamond includes everything in Gold, so unlimited lessons and puzzles come with it. Pick the weak spot Insights points to and work on that.

If after a month you find you only ever press Game Review and ignore the rest, that's still fine. Unlimited review alone is the reason most players upgrade.

Before you order

A few things to sort out first save time once the order is in:

  • Make sure you can log in with an email and password. If you've only ever signed in to Chess.com with Google, Apple or Facebook, ask on our Discord before ordering so we can tell you what's needed.
  • Cancel any existing renewal. If you pay Chess.com now, turn off auto-renew, let the current period finish, then order. That way you aren't paying for two memberships at once.
  • Check the email address. Use the exact address on the account, not an old one.
  • Don't change your account's country after the upgrade. A region change you make yourself voids the warranty.

How ordering works

  1. Choose Diamond · 12 months on the Chess.com page and pay by card or crypto at checkout. PayPal and direct crypto wallet payments are handled through a Discord ticket.
  2. Enter your Chess.com login email and password, plus your Discord or Telegram username.
  3. Diamond is applied to your account. Most orders are delivered within 0–24 hours, and you can follow progress on your order page.
  4. Once Diamond shows on your account, change your password.

If Diamond stops working during the 12 months for a reason you didn't cause, open a ticket on our Discord with your payment ID and it gets replaced. The warranty doesn't cover an account banned for breaking Chess.com's terms, a region change you make on the account yourself, or a problem caused by sharing your login with others. First-time buyers get 10% off. All sales are final, and refunds are only issued if we can't deliver an order.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose my rating or game history?

No. The upgrade changes your membership level, not your account. Ratings, games, puzzle history and friends stay as they are.

Can I upgrade if I already have a paid membership?

Let your current paid membership run out first, then order. If you're on auto-renew with Chess.com, cancel the renewal so you aren't charged twice.

Why do you need my password?

The membership is applied while signed in to your account, so the login is needed for that step. Change the password as soon as Diamond is active.

What's the difference between Platinum and Diamond?

Both give unlimited game review. Diamond adds coach explanations on all your moves, the Insights stats feature, custom analysis settings, and Advanced Stats and Brilliant Moves.

What happens after 12 months?

Your account goes back to the free tier, and all your games and ratings stay. You can order another year whenever you like.

Is regional pricing allowed on Chess.com?

Chess.com publishes different prices in different countries. How it enforces its terms is up to Chess.com and can change. The warranty covers Diamond stopping for a reason you didn't cause, but not a ban for breaking Chess.com's terms.
