Crunchyroll sets prices per country, and they have moved more than once in the past few years. Check Crunchyroll's Premium page for the current price where you live. New members normally get a 7-day free trial, which turns into a paid membership unless it is cancelled before it ends.
Two details from Crunchyroll's help centre: if you subscribe through Roku or Android TV, only the Fan plan is offered, so the 4-stream tier has to come through the website or mobile app. And downgrading from Mega Fan to Fan means cancelling, waiting for the period to end, then subscribing again.

Fan is the entry plan and allows one stream at a time, which suits a single viewer on one screen. Ultimate Fan raises the limit to six streams but is only sold in the United States. This is a single product: a year of Mega Fan applied to your Crunchyroll account. You pay €30 once, against our listed retail reference of €120. There is no auto-renewal to remember to cancel. When the year is up, the account goes back to the free state and you decide whether to buy another year.
The product page lists the conditions plainly:
- You provide the account email and password.
- The account has to be free, with no active subscription on it.
- The upgrade is applied within 14 hours of ordering.
- After the upgrade you can change every detail on the account except the email.
- A full warranty is included.
That last condition is the one to plan around. Keep the email address the account was upgraded on. Changing it can break the upgrade, and a problem you caused yourself is not something the warranty covers.
Who this suits
- You already pay Crunchyroll monthly. Cancel your current subscription, let the paid period run out, then order. The upgrade can't go onto an account that already has an active plan.
- You share with a household. Four streams and five profiles cover most families and flatshares on a single account.
