Cheap Discord Nitro in 2026: 12 Months of Nitro for Less

What Discord Nitro includes in 2026, what Discord charges for it, and how a 12-month upgrade on your own account works through a private Discord ticket.

Discord Nitro is Discord's full paid plan: bigger uploads, emoji from any server, HD streaming and two server boosts. Discord's Nitro page lists it at $9.99 a month as of October 2026, which is $119.88 over a year if you pay monthly. Discord also notes that the price varies by country and plan.

SpandyUpgrades sells 12 months of Nitro on your own Discord account for €40, using regional pricing. The order is handled in a private Discord ticket. This guide covers what Nitro gets you, what Discord charges, and what the upgrade asks of you.

What a cheap Discord Nitro plan includes

These are the Nitro perks listed on Discord's official Nitro page as of October 2026:

  • 1 GB uploads, compared with 50 MB on Nitro Basic
  • Custom and animated emoji you can use in any server
  • HD streaming when you share your screen or go live
  • 2 server boosts plus 30% off extra boosts
  • Join up to 200 servers
  • Custom profiles and per-server profiles
  • Personalised entrance sounds and custom soundboard sounds anywhere
  • Custom video backgrounds, Super Reactions and 20+ app colour themes
  • Longer messages, up to 4,000 characters

Discord's page also lists an Xbox Game Pass perk with an asterisk, so check Discord's own terms for that one if it matters to you. We don't control or guarantee it.

The two boosts are the perk people underestimate. You can put them on any server you're in, which helps a small community server reach its first boost level without anyone else paying.

What Discord charges directly

Discord publishes two plans on its Nitro page. As of October 2026, in US dollars:

PlanPrice shownUploadsServer boosts
Nitro Basic$2.99 / month50 MBNone
Nitro$9.99 / month1 GB2 included

Discord's page says the cost depends on your country and plan, and points you to User Settings for your own price. We didn't verify a yearly price on Discord's public page this session, so this guide only quotes the monthly figure. At $9.99 a month, twelve months come to $119.88.

Full Nitro for 12 months on your account

This is full Nitro, not Nitro Basic, applied to the Discord account you already use. Your servers, friends, DMs and profile all stay the same. The order is completed through a private ticket on our Discord, where the upgrade is applied using your account's login details.

Who it suits

  • You already pay for Nitro monthly. A year at our price costs much less than twelve monthly payments at Discord's listed rate. Let your current subscription end first.
  • You want to boost a server. Two boosts come with the plan, which is useful if you run or help run a community.
  • You share clips and files. Going from Discord's free limits to 1 GB uploads is the change you'll notice most day to day.

It's a poor fit if you only want custom emoji and a better upload limit and don't care about boosts or HD streaming. Nitro Basic at $2.99 a month may be enough. It also isn't for you if you won't share your Discord login, even temporarily, because the upgrade needs it.

Nitro or Nitro Basic: the honest comparison

Nitro Basic is the cheaper Discord plan, and for some people it's enough. Based on what Discord lists on its Nitro page, the difference comes down to three things:

  • Upload size. Basic gets you 50 MB. Nitro gets you 1 GB. If you share game clips, screen recordings or anything larger than a short video, that gap matters most.
  • Server boosts. Nitro includes two boosts and a discount on more. Basic has none.
  • Streaming and extras. HD streaming, entrance sounds, video backgrounds and the longer message limit sit on the full Nitro side.

Here's a simple way to decide: if you'd never use the boosts and don't send big files, Basic from Discord directly is the cheaper choice and we'd tell you to buy that. If you use either of those, full Nitro is the plan, and paying for a year through us costs less than paying Discord monthly at the listed US rate.

Nitro Basic isn't something we sell, so if it's the right fit, buy it from Discord in User Settings.

Before you order

Sorting these out first saves back-and-forth in the ticket:

  • End any current Nitro subscription. Turn off renewal in Discord's settings and let it run out, so you aren't paying twice.
  • Have your login ready. You'll need the email and password for the account that should get Nitro. If you use two-factor authentication, say so in the ticket so the login step can be arranged with you.
  • Use the right account. If you have more than one Discord account, double-check which one you're giving us. Don't count on moving Nitro to another account later.
  • Leave your account region alone afterwards. Changing it yourself after the upgrade voids the warranty.

How ordering works

  1. Choose Nitro · 12 months on the Discord Nitro page and pay by card or crypto at checkout. PayPal and direct crypto wallet payments are handled through a Discord ticket.
  2. After ordering, open a private ticket on our Discord. Nitro orders are delivered through the ticket rather than an on-site form.
  3. Provide your Discord login details in the ticket, as the upgrade requires them.
  4. Nitro is applied to your account. Most orders are delivered within 0–24 hours.
  5. Once Nitro is active, change your password.

If Nitro stops working during the 12 months for a reason you didn't cause, open a ticket with your payment ID and it gets replaced. The warranty doesn't cover an account banned for breaking Discord's terms, a region change you make yourself after the upgrade, or problems caused by sharing your login with other people. First-time buyers get 10% off. All sales are final, and refunds are only issued if we can't deliver an order.

Frequently asked questions

Is this full Nitro or Nitro Basic?

Full Nitro, with 1 GB uploads, HD streaming and two server boosts.

Do I keep my servers, messages and friends?

Yes. The upgrade changes your subscription, not your account. Everything else stays exactly as it is.

Why do you need my Discord login?

The upgrade is applied while signed in to your account, so the login is required. You give it in the private ticket. Change your password once Nitro is active.

Can I upgrade if I already have Nitro?

Let your current subscription run out first, and cancel any auto-renewal so Discord doesn't charge you again.

Do the two server boosts come with it?

Yes. Nitro includes two boosts, and you can assign them to any server you're in. You also get 30% off any extra boosts you buy from Discord.

Can I pay with PayPal?

Not at the website checkout, which takes card or crypto. PayPal and direct crypto wallet payments are handled through a ticket on our Discord, and since Nitro is already delivered through a ticket, that's the same place you'd go anyway.

What happens after 12 months?

Your account goes back to free Discord. Your servers, messages and profile stay, but Nitro-only features like animated emoji from other servers and the larger upload limit stop. You can order another year at any point.
