Cheap Canva Pro in 2026: Your Own Account or a Group Invite

Canva Pro is US$144 a year in the US. Here is how the two SpandyUpgrades options work, what each one needs from you, and where they differ.

Canva Pro costs US$144 a year for one person on Canva's US pricing page, as of October 2026. For a freelancer who designs a few social posts a week, or a student making slides, that is a lot to pay for templates and a background remover.

SpandyUpgrades sells cheap Canva Pro two ways, from €20 for twelve months. One upgrades the Canva account you already have. The other invites your email into an education team, which is cheaper but means you sit inside a team someone else runs. This guide explains both so you can pick the one that matches how you use Canva.

What Canva Pro includes

Canva Free is a capable editor. Pro adds the paid content and most of the tools people actually upgrade for. According to Canva's pricing page, Pro includes:

  • 3.6M+ templates, including the premium ones locked on Free
  • 141M+ premium photos, videos, graphics and audio to use in your designs
  • Magic Resize and the background remover, along with other AI tools such as translate
  • 5 Brand Kits for storing your colours, fonts and logos
  • 100GB of cloud storage
  • Social content scheduling from inside Canva
  • More AI allowance than Canva Free, which Canva describes as 10x more

Pro is priced for one person. Canva sells a separate Business plan for teams that need admin and collaboration tools.

Prices differ by country. The same Pro plan was listed at A$165 a year when we checked Canva's page from Australia in October 2026. Canva also states that K-12 educational organisations and not-for-profits can use most premium features for free, which matters for the group invite option below.

The two SpandyUpgrades options

OptionPriceLengthWhat you give usWhose account
Pro on your account€3012 monthsCanva email and passwordYour own, upgraded
Pro group invite€2012 monthsYour email address onlyYour own, joined to an education team

Both come with a full warranty, and both need a Canva account that is on the free tier with no active plan.

Pro on your own account

This is a direct Pro upgrade applied to your existing Canva account. You enter your Canva login email and password in the order form, the upgrade is applied, and your account becomes a Pro account for twelve months. Your designs, folders and uploads stay where they are.

It costs €30 against a listed retail price of €120, a saving of 75%. It is the more expensive of the two options because you get a plan on your account instead of a seat in someone else's team. Read the full guide to Pro on your account.

Pro through a group invite

Here you only give us an email address. That email is invited into a Canva Teacher account, and you join as a student. Our listing describes the student seat as having the same features as Pro. Canva's own education page puts it as "most of Canva's premium features", so expect the core Pro tools and content, but don't assume every Pro feature matches one for one.

It costs €20, a saving of 83% on the €120 retail figure. The invite can take up to 24 hours, and you must not already be in another Canva group when it arrives. Read the full guide to the group invite.

Which one should you pick?

  • You use Canva for client or business work: take Pro on your own account. The plan sits on your account and nobody else manages it.
  • You want the lowest price and mainly need templates, stock content and the background remover: the group invite costs less and doesn't need your password.
  • You're uneasy about sharing a password: the group invite is the only option that works with just an email.
  • You're already in a Canva team: leave it first, or choose the on-your-account upgrade instead.

One honest note on the group invite. Canva for Education is built for K-12 teachers and their students, and you are joining a team you don't control. The team owner can remove members. If that happens during your twelve months, the warranty covers a replacement, but it is still a dependency you don't have with the direct upgrade.

If you already pay Canva for Pro, cancel it first and let it expire. Both options need a free account with no active plan.

How ordering works

  1. Choose a plan on the Canva page and pay with crypto at checkout.
  2. Fill in the order form. Every order asks for a Discord or Telegram username so we can reach you. The group invite also asks for the email to invite; the on-your-account upgrade asks for your Canva email and password.
  3. Most orders are delivered within 0–24 hours. Group invites can take up to the full 24 hours. You can follow progress on your order page.
  4. For the group invite, accept the invitation from Canva in your inbox. For the direct upgrade, sign in and Pro is already active. Change your password afterwards.
  5. If Pro stops working during the twelve months for a reason you didn't cause, open a Discord ticket with your payment ID and it gets replaced.

The warranty does not cover an account banned for breaking Canva's terms, problems caused by changing the account's region, or shared login details. First-time buyers get 10% off at checkout. You can read how the whole process works on the how it works page.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose my existing Canva designs?

No. Both options work on the Canva account you already use. Your designs, folders and uploads stay on that account during the upgrade and after the twelve months end.

Does the group invite give me exactly Canva Pro?

You get a student seat in a Canva for Education team, which includes most of Canva's premium features. It is not a Canva Pro subscription on your account. If you need the actual Pro plan, choose the on-your-account option.

Why does the on-your-account upgrade need my password?

The upgrade is applied while signed in to your Canva account, so the login is needed once. Change your password as soon as Pro is active; it does not affect the plan.

Can I order if I already pay for Canva Pro?

Not until that plan has ended. Both options need a Canva account on the free tier with no active subscription. Cancel your current plan and let it run out first.

What happens after twelve months?

Your account goes back to Canva Free and your designs stay on it. Premium templates and elements become paid content again, so plan to renew if your work depends on them.

Is there a warranty?

Yes, both Canva plans include a full warranty. If Pro features stop working for a reason you didn't cause, open a ticket on Discord with your payment ID and we replace it at no charge.
