Cheap YouTube Premium in 2026: Prices, and Why Our Plan Is Paused
Our YouTube Premium plan is paused for now. Here is what YouTube charges in October 2026, what Premium includes, and how the 12-month plan works when it returns.
Our YouTube Premium plan is unavailable right now. You can't order it from the product page at the moment. Below is what YouTube charges, what Premium includes, and how our 12-month plan works, so you know what to expect when it's back.
YouTube Premium costs $16.99 a month for one person in the US as of October 2026, or $203.88 over a year. Our 12-month Premium + Music plan is listed at €40, against a retail reference of €168. Until it returns, that price is for reference only.
What YouTube Premium includes
YouTube's own Premium page lists four core benefits, as of October 2026:
- Ad-free YouTube on videos across the site and apps
- Ad-free YouTube Music, so the music app is included
- Background play, which keeps a video or song playing with the screen off or while you use another app
- Downloads for watching offline
Premium sits on your Google account, so it follows you to any device where you're signed in. Your subscriptions, playlists, history and YouTube Music library don't change when you upgrade.
What YouTube charges directly
YouTube's published US prices as of October 2026:
| Plan | Per month | Who it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Premium Individual | $16.99 | 1 account |
| Premium Two-person | $25.99 | 2 accounts |
| Premium Family | $39.99 | You plus up to 5 family members aged 13+ in your household |
| Premium Student | $10.49 | 1 eligible student, verified every year |
| Premium Lite | $8.99 | 1 account, reduced benefits |
Premium Lite is the cheaper tier. YouTube says its benefits apply to most non-music content, excluding Shorts, and that ads may still appear when you search or browse. If you want YouTube Music without ads and every video ad-free, it's full Premium.
Twelve months of the individual plan come to $203.88. YouTube sets prices per country, and the description on our product page says the discount comes from regional pricing.
The SpandyUpgrades plan (currently paused)
| Option | Price | Length | Status | Delivery |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium + Music · 12 months | €40 | 12 months | Unavailable right now | Discord ticket |
Premium + Music, 12 months
The plan covers a year of YouTube Premium, YouTube Music included, for one payment of €40. That's 76% off our retail reference. It's delivered through a private Discord ticket opened after you order, rather than through an order form on the site.
Whatever the method, one condition applies: your Google account must not have an active Premium subscription.
The three delivery methods
The product page lists three ways the upgrade has been delivered. They are listed here so you can see what each asks of you. Which ones are offered when the plan comes back may change.
Direct purchase. Needs your Google account email, password and backup codes. The product page carries a warning: if YouTube starts cracking down on upgrades bought from a region other than where the account was created, or removes Premium in that region, we are not responsible.
Family method. Your account joins a Google family. You must not have joined a Google family in the last 12 months, and a VPN is needed only for the moment of joining, with a detailed guide provided. This is the method listed with a full warranty. The trade-off is the usual one for a family invite: you're a member of a family you don't manage.
Activation link. We send a link that activates Premium directly. It has to be redeemed within 15 minutes, and it isn't linked to a family. It carries the same warning as direct purchase about YouTube changing its policy on cross-region upgrades.
Two of the three methods state that a change on YouTube's side is not covered. Weigh that against the price.
Which option fits whom
While the plan is paused, your realistic choices are YouTube's own plans:
- You want ads gone on everything, plus YouTube Music: Premium Individual at $16.99 a month.
- You mostly watch videos and don't care about music: Premium Lite at $8.99 a month, accepting ads in search and browse and on music content.
- Two people: Two-person at $25.99 costs less than two individual plans at $33.98.
- A household: Family at $39.99 covers up to five members aged 13 and up living with you.
- You're a student: Premium Student at $10.49, with yearly verification.
When our plan is back, it's aimed at someone who would otherwise pay for Premium Individual for a full year and is comfortable with the conditions above.
How ordering works when it's available
- Choose the plan on the YouTube Premium page and pay by card or crypto. PayPal and direct wallet payments go through Discord.
- A private Discord ticket is opened for your order. That's where the delivery method is agreed and details are exchanged, instead of an order form.
- Make sure your Google account has no active Premium subscription.
- Follow the steps for your method in the ticket. An activation link must be used within 15 minutes.
- Most orders are delivered within 0–24 hours.
Warranty claims go through Discord with your payment ID. The warranty is void for a ban under YouTube's terms, changing the account's region after the upgrade, or sharing the login. All sales are final, and refunds are only given when an order can't be delivered. First-time buyers get 10% off.
Read how it works and the FAQ for the general ordering process, or browse Spotify and Apple Music if what you really want is ad-free music.
Frequently asked questions
Can I buy YouTube Premium from you right now?
No. The plan is marked unavailable on the product page. Check the YouTube Premium page for when it returns.
When will it be available again?
No return date has been announced. The product page will show the plan as orderable again when it is back.
Does the plan include YouTube Music?
Yes. It's listed as Premium + Music, and YouTube Premium itself includes ad-free YouTube Music.
Will I lose my subscriptions and playlists?
No. Premium is added to your Google account, and your subscriptions, playlists and history stay where they are.
Why is it delivered on Discord?
YouTube Premium is one of the products delivered through a private Discord ticket. After you order, the ticket is opened and the upgrade is handled there rather than through an order form.
Do I need a VPN?
Only for the family method, and only at the moment you join the family. The other two methods don't list a VPN.
Is it covered by a warranty?
The family method is listed with a full warranty. The direct purchase and activation link methods carry a warning that a YouTube policy change on cross-region upgrades isn't our responsibility.
