Cheap Apple Music in 2026: A 12-Month Individual Plan for €40

Apple Music is $11.99 a month in the US. Here is how the €40 12-month plan works, and what the region change on your Apple account really involves.

Apple Music costs $11.99 a month for an Individual plan in the US, which is $143.88 over a year. There is no annual discount on Apple's own page, so a year of listening costs twelve full months.

SpandyUpgrades sells a 12-month Apple Music Individual plan for €40, against a retail price of €132. That is 70% less. The saving comes from regional pricing, and it has one condition you should understand before buying cheap Apple Music this way: your Apple account's country or region is changed to ours, and it stays there until the plan runs out. Most of this guide explains what that means.

What Apple Music includes

Apple's Apple Music page lists these features for the Individual plan:

  • Over 100 million songs, ad-free, with downloads for offline listening
  • Lossless audio and Spatial Audio
  • Curated playlists and exclusive artist content
  • Apple Music Classical, a separate app for classical music, at no extra cost
  • Apps beyond Apple hardware: Android, Windows, Sonos, smart TVs and more

What you get

A 12-month Apple Music Individual subscription on an Apple account. It is the normal Individual plan: your own library, your own recommendations, the full catalog, lossless and Spatial Audio, and access to Apple Music Classical. It works on every device where you sign in with that Apple account.

What it needs from you

The listing asks for three things:

  1. The email and password of your Apple account, or a fresh account you create for this purpose.
  2. No active Apple subscriptions on the account. Apple itself won't let a region change go through while a subscription is running, so any current Apple Music plan has to be cancelled and allowed to expire first.
  3. Acceptance of the region change. The account's region is moved to ours, and you can't change it back until the plan expires.

The region change, explained

Apple ties every account to one country or region. That setting decides which App Store you see, which prices you pay and which payment methods work. Apple's own support page on changing region lists what has to be true first: any Apple account balance must be spent, subscriptions that block the change must be cancelled and run out, pending pre-orders, rentals and refunds must finish, and you may not be able to change region at all while you are in a Family Sharing group.

For the 12 months the plan runs, that means:

  • The App Store on that account shows the new region. Some apps you use might not be listed there, and buying new apps or in-app purchases needs a payment method valid in that region.
  • Apple warns that some content may not be available in the new region. Downloaded music and purchases may need redownloading.
  • You can't switch back early. Changing the region yourself ends the arrangement, and the warranty does not cover it.
  • Family Sharing can get in the way. If your Apple account belongs to a family group, the region change may be blocked.

Because of this, the cleanest setup for many people is a separate Apple account used only for Apple Music. The listing explicitly allows it. Your main account keeps its region, iCloud data and backups. On an iPhone, Apple supports signing in with one account for iCloud and a second one for Media & Purchases, so both can live on the same phone. Keep in mind that Media & Purchases also covers the App Store, so new app purchases on that device would go through the music account while it is signed in there.

If you use one Apple account for everything and rely on App Store purchases, think about this before ordering. If you mostly listen to music and rarely buy apps, the region change makes little practical difference.

Who this plan suits

  • You listen on Apple devices and want the lowest yearly price. One payment covers 12 months at well under the US rate.
  • You're happy to use a dedicated Apple account for music. This removes nearly every downside of the region change.
  • You don't need Family. The plan is Individual only. For several people, compare our Spotify Family slot, Deezer Family plan or Tidal options.

It suits you less if your main Apple account holds a store balance you haven't spent, belongs to a Family Sharing group you need to keep, or gets heavy App Store use.

How ordering works

  1. Choose the 12-month plan on the Apple Music page and pay by card or crypto at checkout. First-time buyers get 10% off.
  2. In the order form, enter your Apple account email and password, plus a Discord or Telegram username so we can contact you about the order.
  3. Make sure there is no active Apple subscription on that account. If there is, cancel it and wait for the period to end before ordering.
  4. The region is changed and the plan applied. Most orders are delivered within 0–24 hours.
  5. Open the Music app, sign in with that account, and your library and recommendations start building as normal.

Change your Apple account password once the plan is active. The subscription doesn't depend on it.

If the plan stops working during the 12 months for a reason you didn't cause, open a Discord ticket with your payment ID and it is replaced at no charge. The warranty doesn't cover a region change you make yourself, an account banned for breaking Apple's terms, or credentials you share with others. You can read more on the how it works page and in the general FAQ.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose my existing Apple Music library?

If you use your existing account, your library belongs to that account and stays with it. Apple notes that some content may not be available in a new region, so a handful of tracks could show as unavailable. With a fresh account you start a new library, which you can rebuild by following the same artists and playlists.

Can I keep my current Apple Music subscription running and switch over?

No. The account must have no active subscription. Cancel Apple Music in your subscription settings, let the paid period end, and then order. Apple blocks region changes while a blocking subscription is still active.

Can I change my region back after the plan starts?

Not until the 12 months are over. Changing it early ends the plan and voids the warranty. When the plan expires you can move the account back to your own country under Apple's normal rules.

Does this include Apple Music Family?

No. This is an Individual plan for one person. Apple's Family plan is a different product, and Family Sharing can even prevent the region change on an account that belongs to a family group.

Do I need a separate Apple account?

You don't have to, but it's often the simplest choice. A dedicated account keeps your main account, its iCloud data and its region untouched. On iPhone you sign the second account in under Media & Purchases.

What happens when the 12 months end?

The plan expires and the account stops having Apple Music access. You can order another year, or change the region back and subscribe with Apple directly. Playlists you saved stay on the account either way.

Is Spatial Audio included?

Yes. Lossless audio and Spatial Audio are part of the standard Individual plan, so they come with this plan on supported devices and headphones.
