Cheap Dropbox Plus and Pro in 2026: How the Team Seat Works
Our Dropbox plans cost a fraction of retail, and they work by adding you to a Dropbox business team. Here is what that means for your files and privacy.
Dropbox Plus, the one-person plan with 2 TB of storage, is listed at A$184.67 a year on Dropbox's Australian plans page as of October 2026. Dropbox sets prices per country, so check dropbox.com/plans for yours.
SpandyUpgrades sells two 12-month Dropbox plans, Plus and Pro, from €44. Both work the same way: you give us your email address and you are added to our Dropbox business plan as a team member. That is a different arrangement from buying Plus yourself, and it has consequences for who can see your files. This guide explains both plans and that trade-off.
What Dropbox's paid plans include
From Dropbox's plans page (Australia, October 2026):
- Basic (free): 2 GB of storage.
- Plus, for one person: 2 TB of storage, 30 days to restore deleted files, file transfers up to 50 GB, PDF editing and e-signatures.
- Standard, for teams of one or more: starting at 3 TB for the team, 180 days to restore deleted files, transfers up to 100 GB, team folders and admin controls.
- Advanced, for teams of three or more: starting at 15 TB for the team, one year of file recovery, end-to-end encryption options, single sign-on and compliance tracking.

Our two Dropbox options
| Option | Price | Length | How it's delivered | Warranty |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Plus | €44 | 12 months | Added to our business team | Included |
| Pro | €66 | 12 months | Added to our business team | Included |
Plus, 12 months
The entry option at €44, listed against a retail figure of €120. It is named after Dropbox's one-person tier, but like the Pro option it is delivered as a seat on our Dropbox business team. Read the Plus guide.
Pro, 12 months
The higher option at €66. Our product listing doesn't state which Dropbox tier "Pro" corresponds to or how much storage it includes. Since you are added to our business team either way, ask in Discord what the seat includes before ordering. Read the Pro guide.
The trade-off: joining a Dropbox team
Our product page says it plainly: "you will be added to our Business plan." In Dropbox terms, you join a team, and someone else is the team admin. Dropbox's own help pages explain what that means.
When you join a team with an existing account, Dropbox gives you two choices:
- Transfer your existing files to the team account. Dropbox says that if you do this, "your admin will have access to those files."
- Keep your files separate. You are prompted to create a new Dropbox account for your existing files, and the admin has no access to that account.
On a team account, Dropbox lists what admins can do: view your folder structure, view, open and download files, delete or restore files, and share files and folders. An admin can also remove you from the team by suspending, deleting or converting your account.
So the practical advice is simple. Don't put anything on a team seat you wouldn't want an admin able to open. For tax records, ID scans or anything confidential, use storage you control, or keep those files in the separate personal account Dropbox offers to create.
Which option fits whom
- You want cheap space for photos, project files or backups that aren't sensitive: Plus. It is the lower price and the use case where an admin's theoretical access matters least.
- You need more than the Plus seat offers: ask in Discord what the Pro seat includes, then decide.
- You store private documents, client data covered by confidentiality agreements, or anything regulated: buy directly from Dropbox. A seat on someone else's team is the wrong place for it.
How ordering works
- Choose a plan on the Dropbox page and pay by card or crypto. PayPal and direct wallet payments go through a Discord ticket.
- Enter the email address for the Dropbox account you want to use and a Discord or Telegram username. No password is needed.
- You receive a Dropbox team invitation at that address. Most orders are delivered within 0–24 hours.
- When you accept, choose whether to transfer your existing files or keep them separate. Read the section above first.
- If the seat stops working during the 12 months for a reason you didn't cause, open a Discord ticket with your payment ID for a free replacement.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to give you my Dropbox password?
No. Only your email address is needed. You are invited to the team and accept the invite yourself.
Can the team admin see my files?
On files in the team account, yes. Dropbox lets team admins view, open, download, share and delete them. If you choose "keep files separate" when joining, your existing files go into a separate personal account the admin can't access.
Does Dropbox still sell a Pro plan?
Not under that name. Dropbox's plans page currently lists Basic, Plus, Standard, Advanced and Enterprise. "Pro" is our name for the higher of our two options.
How much storage do I get?
Our listing doesn't specify storage per seat. Dropbox's own Plus plan is 2 TB, but our plans are delivered as team seats, so confirm the allocation in Discord before ordering if it matters.
What happens after 12 months?
The seat ends, and what happens to a team account is up to the team admin. Move or download anything you want to keep before the 12 months are up.
Will this work with the Dropbox desktop and mobile apps?
Yes. Sign in to the Dropbox apps with the email you were invited with.
Is a warranty included?
Yes. Both plans are covered for the 12 months. The warranty doesn't cover breaking Dropbox's terms or sharing your login.
