Dropbox Pro for 12 Months: What "Pro" Means and When to Choose It

Our Dropbox Pro option costs €66 for twelve months. Like our Plus option, you are added to our Dropbox business team using only your email address, and a warranty is included.

If you searched for "Dropbox Pro", you should know that Dropbox doesn't currently sell a plan by that name. As of October 2026, Dropbox's plans page lists Basic, Plus, Standard, Advanced and Enterprise. "Pro" is our name for the higher of our two options, so this guide covers what we can say about it and what you should confirm before choosing it over Plus.

What you get and what it needs

Our listing doesn't say which Dropbox tier the Pro option maps to or how much storage the seat has. Because it is delivered as a team seat, the closest Dropbox products are its team plans. On Dropbox's Australian plans page (October 2026), those are:

Pro against Plus

Delivery, length, warranty and privacy rules are identical. The only listed difference is the price. So the decision runs in one direction: pick Pro only if it gives you something Plus doesn't, which in practice usually means more storage. If Discord confirms that it does and you need it, Pro is the right buy. If not, Plus does the same job for less.

Before asking, check how much you store today and how fast it grows. Then compare that number with what each seat includes, and you'll know straight away whether Pro is worth it.

Ordering and setup

1. Ask in Discord what the Pro seat includes, if you haven't already.
2. On the Dropbox product page, select "Pro · 12 months".
3. Enter the email for the Dropbox account you'll use and your Discord or Telegram username. Pay by card or crypto. For PayPal or a direct wallet payment, open a Discord ticket.
4. Accept the team invitation that arrives at that email. Most orders are delivered within 0–24 hours.
5. If Dropbox asks whether to transfer your existing files to the team or keep them separate, read the next section before you choose.

Risks that come with a team seat

These apply to Plus as well, and they matter more the more you store.

• Admin access. According to Dropbox's help centre, team admins can view, open, download, share and delete files in a member's team account.
• Your existing files. When joining, Dropbox lets you keep existing files separate in a new personal account the admin can't access. Transferring them gives the admin access.
• You don't control membership. An admin can suspend, delete or convert a member's account.
• The term ends. After twelve months the seat ends. With a large archive, start moving files out a few weeks early, because downloading terabytes takes time.
• Warranty limits. If the seat stops working for a reason you didn't cause, it is replaced free through a Discord ticket with your payment ID. A ban for breaking Dropbox's terms, or sharing your login, voids it.
