Duolingo Super for 12 Months: Cheap Upgrade on Your Own Account
Super is the Duolingo tier most learners actually need. Here is what the 12-month upgrade includes, what your account must look like first, and when Max or Family is the better buy.
Super is for the learner who does Duolingo most days and keeps running into the free tier's limits: the heart counter that ends a lesson after a run of mistakes, and the ads between lessons. It doesn't add AI features or extra accounts. It removes the friction and gives you a proper way to review what you got wrong.

What you get
Duolingo's Super page lists the Super benefits as of October 2026:
- Unlimited hearts. Mistakes no longer cost you anything, so you can attempt harder lessons without worrying about being locked out halfway.
- No ads between lessons.
- Personalized practice, including a review of exercises you got wrong.
- Unlimited Legendary attempts, the hardest level on each unit.
The upgrade lasts 12 months from activation. Your streak, XP, league and course progress stay exactly as they are, because they belong to your account rather than to the plan.
What it requires
- Your Duolingo login email and password, entered in the order form, plus a Discord or Telegram username for contact.
- An account that is not in a Family Plan. That applies whether you manage a family or were invited into one. Leave it before ordering.
- No active paid subscription. If you already pay Duolingo, cancel the renewal and let it expire first.
That's all. There's no new account to set up and nothing to install.

Super and Max differ in one area: Max adds Roleplay and Video Call with Lily. Duolingo only runs both in its iOS and Android apps and only on some courses, so if you learn in a browser, or your course isn't supported, Max gives you nothing Super doesn't.
Super Family is the same Super tier spread over up to six accounts. If even one other person in your house uses Duolingo, compare the Family price to two Super upgrades before you buy. The catch is that Family needs a free account to become the owner, and your account is the one that gets that role.

- Open the Duolingo product page and choose Super · 12 months.
- Enter your Duolingo email and password and your Discord or Telegram username.
- Pay by card or crypto at checkout. For PayPal or a direct crypto wallet payment, open a ticket on our Discord instead. First-time buyers get 10% off.
- Most orders are delivered within 0–24 hours. Your order page shows progress, and we'll contact you on Discord or Telegram if something on the account needs fixing.
- Open Duolingo and check the Super badge on the home screen. Then change your password.
Limits worth knowing
It's one account. Super can't be shared. If someone else in your household wants it, that's what Super Family is for.
Family membership blocks it. The most common hold-up is an account still sitting in an old Family Plan, often one a relative started years ago. Check under the Super dashboard in the app, or ask whoever ran the family to remove you.
You share your password once. The upgrade is applied while signed in, so we need the login. Change it as soon as Super is active.
Warranty conditions. If Super stops working during the 12 months for a reason you didn't cause, open a Discord ticket with your payment ID and it gets replaced. Changing the account's region after the upgrade, sharing the login, or a ban for breaking Duolingo's terms void that cover.
It doesn't renew itself. After 12 months the account returns to the free tier. Nothing is charged automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Does Super include Roleplay or Video Call?
Video Call with Lily and Roleplay are Max features, not Super ones. If you want them, look at the Max upgrade and check your course is supported first.
I'm in my family's Duolingo Family Plan. Can I still order Super?
Not while you're in it. Leave the family (or ask the manager to remove you) and make sure no paid subscription is active on your account. Then order.
Can I switch to Max later in the year?
Max is a separate order. Duolingo's in-app "upgrade to Max" button bills you through Apple or Google at Duolingo's own price, so ask on Discord before tapping it.
Does Super work on the web?
Yes. Unlimited hearts, no ads and mistake review apply wherever you log in: the web, iOS or Android.
What happens to my streak when the year ends?
Nothing. The streak and all progress stay. The account simply goes back to having hearts and ads until you renew.
