Spotify Premium Solo for 12 Months: €30 Instead of €132

Solo is the plain option: a year of Spotify Premium on your existing account, one payment, no family plan. Here is what it costs per month and what to check before ordering.

Spotify Premium Solo is for one person who listens on their own account and wants a year of Premium without a monthly bill. It costs €30 for 12 months. The retail price for the same year is €132 in euros, so you keep €102 (77%).

For a US listener the gap is wider. Spotify charges $12.99 a month for Premium Individual in the US as of October 2026, or $155.88 over twelve months.

What you get

A 12-month Premium Individual upgrade applied to the Spotify account you already use. Nothing about the account changes except its plan. Spotify's Premium page lists what that plan includes:

  • Ad-free music listening
  • Lossless audio up to 24-bit/44.1 kHz
  • Offline listening, including automatic Offline Backup
  • Songs in any order, with unlimited skips
  • 15 hours a month of audiobook listening from Spotify's subscriber catalog

Because you are on your own plan rather than someone's Family or Duo, the audiobook hours are yours. On Duo and Family, Spotify gives them only to the plan manager.

What it requires

The order form asks for:

  • Your Spotify email and password. The upgrade is applied while signed in, so the login is used once.
  • A Discord or Telegram username, so we can reach you if anything about the order needs a reply.

Before ordering, make sure the account isn't on a paid Premium plan. If you pay Spotify now, cancel and let the current period run out. An upgrade can't be applied over an active paid subscription.

Solo is the only one of the three where you aren't sharing a plan with anyone. There is no address to confirm, no plan manager above you, and no other member to worry about. That is what the extra cost over the Family slot pays for.

Ordering step by step

  1. Cancel any paid Spotify plan on the account and wait for it to lapse to free.
  2. Pick Solo · 12 months on the Spotify page and pay by card or crypto. First-time buyers get 10% off.
  3. Enter your Spotify email, password and a Discord or Telegram username.
  4. The upgrade is applied. Most orders are delivered within 0–24 hours, and you can follow progress on your order page.
  5. Open Spotify's account page and check that Premium Individual shows. Then change your password.

Risks and limits

The login is needed once. Solo is applied while signed in to your account, so you share the password for the order. Changing it afterwards doesn't affect Premium, and you should do it.

Don't change your account's country. The warranty is void if the account's region is changed after the upgrade. The same goes for a ban for breaking Spotify's terms or for sharing your login with other people.

It ends after 12 months. Solo has a fixed term. When it ends, the account returns to Spotify Free and keeps every playlist and liked song.

It covers one person. If someone else in your home uses your login now, Duo gives them their own account for less than two Solo orders.

Within those limits, Solo has the full warranty. If Premium stops during the 12 months for a reason you didn't cause, open a Discord ticket with your payment ID and it is restored at no charge.

All three Spotify options are compared in the Spotify guide.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose my playlists or Wrapped history?

No. They belong to your account, and Solo only changes the plan on that account. Liked songs, playlists, followed artists and listening history stay as they are.

Is Solo the same as Spotify's Premium Individual?

Yes. Solo is our name for a 12-month Premium Individual upgrade. You get the same features Spotify lists for Individual, including lossless audio and offline downloads.

Do I get the 15 hours of audiobooks?

Spotify's US Premium page lists 15 hours of audiobook listening a month with Premium Individual. On Solo you hold the plan yourself, so they aren't limited to a plan manager the way they are on Duo and Family.

My Premium is still active. Can I order now?

Order once it has lapsed. Cancel in your Spotify account settings and wait until the account shows the free plan, then place the order.

What happens when the 12 months are up?

The account goes back to Spotify Free and keeps everything you saved. You can order another year whenever you like. If you want no gap between years, ask on Discord about timing before ordering.

Solo or the Family slot?

The Family slot is cheaper and has no end date, but you are a member of someone else's family plan and Spotify expects members to share an address. Solo is your own plan for a fixed year. Pick Solo if you want nothing to manage; pick the Family slot if lowest cost matters most.
